Find your colours

Colouring Pages for Quilters - I wondered why one would need something like that … maybe I was just lazy to sit and colour, or maybe I am more of a spontaneous quilter, unwilling/unable to plan things in advance or maybe it’s because I make my own patterns and make them almost only once. Whatever the reason, I never really understood them ... until now !

Many of you are enthusiastic and adventurous enough to choose your own colour palette for A Walk In The Park QAL , some monochromatic, some colourful, mostly based on fabrics you already have, or would like to have, etc. Awesome ! Well, here’s something to help you get started and maybe make it a bit easier - a colouring page for A Walk In The Park.

Tip : Colour the leaves before you start colouring anything else. The many many lines in the leaves are very distracting. Colouring them helps to make it visually clear.

Hope this helps in planning your quilt better !

Let me know if it does … comment below and post your photos on IG and Facebook tagging #awalkintheparkquilt and #creativeclutterroom .

It will be an interesting exercise to see how you planned your quilt and how it grew into the quilt it will become ! Even small decisions along the way change the outcome. For example, you may plan a two colour quilt, but somewhere along the way, you add an accent colour - that changes the way your quilt turns out. Posting it creates a record for you (and others too ! ) to see how these decisions affect the overall look of the quilt. Post your pictures and inspire and educate others !

Happy Quilting !
